Dehumidifiers recalled after $4.8 million in reported property damage

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Midea humidifiers are under a recall because that can overheat, smoke and catch fire.

There have been 38 reports of smoke and fire from the units, resulting in $4.8 million in reported property damage.

These humidifiers were sold at Lowes, Menards, PC Richard and other stores across the country.

Click here for the complete list of units under the recall. If you have one of these units, turn it off immediately, unplug it and contact GD Midea for either a replacement or partial refund.
