Prince William County Wal-Mart abduction turns out to be prank

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Investigators in Woodbridge, Virginia have determined that an alleged abduction from an area Wal-Mart last week was actually a prank.

Police were able to identify the alleged victim involved, and reached out to the 18-year-old man.

The parties involved seem to have filmed the incident to post to YouTube.

After determining that no criminal activity occurred, no charges will be placed in the incident.

The incident occurred after a security video, released by police, showed two people putting a person in the trunk of a car.

However, some witnesses who were at the scene said the people involved appeared to be “play-fighting.”
