PETERSBURG, Va (WRIC) — The City of Petersburg is chipping away at its debt for water treatment services.

The city paid more than $377, 680 to the South Central Wastewater Authority, which is suing Petersburg for $1.2M  in unpaid bills.

According to authority officials, the city hasn’t paid for water treatment services since May.

Officials say they are meeting with Petersburg city officials next week to discuss the remaining balance.
