HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Friends and family, mourning the loss of Ava Tucker, held a candlelight vigil celebrating her life at Viviana Hall Townhomes in Highland Springs where police say she was killed by her girlfriend.
Her mother was at the vigil and said the people who came to honor her daughter’s life are giving her the strength to get through this week as she plans Ava’s funeral.
“It’s not just my pain, it’s the pain of all of these people that she helped touch,” Tabatha Tucker said. “I don’t know each and every one personally, but she has touched these people in so many ways.”
Tucker was found stabbed to death in her home Thursday.
Sheena Wilson is charged with second-degree murder.
She will be back in court on January 20th of next year.
