RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — “The DaVinci Code” is getting another chapter at the theaters this weekend as the third book in the series gets its own film.
In “Inferno”, Dr. Robert Langdon, played again by Tom Hanks, is looking for clues in Dante’s famous story to try and stop a global pandemic. Felicity Jones stars as his assistant as they race through Europe. Directed by Ron Howard, “Inferno” is rated PG-13.
“The Eagle Huntress” is the story of a young girl looking to follow in her ancestor’s footsteps. She could become the first female Eagle Hunter in her family. The documentary, narrated by Daisy Ridley, is rated G.
On Streaming and DVD this weekend, you can check out “Captain America Civil War.” This third film in the series plays more like an Avengers film with Captain America and Iron Man squaring off on their disagreement over how superheroes should be treated. Cappy wants the government to be hands off while Iron man is fine with government oversight. The film is full of action and superheroes. It’s also an interesting discussion on free will and freedom. I don’t think it’s quite as good as Captain America Winter Soldier, but it’s close. It definitely holds its own in the Marvel Universe. Give it a look this weekend!
