WATCH: Henrico officers help fulfill disabled boy’s dream of being a cop for Halloween

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police officers in Henrico County went out of their way recently to help a young boy fulfill his dream of being one of them for Halloween.

In a video shared on the Henrico County Police Facebook page, officers arrived at the boy’s home and helped transform his wheelchair into a police car. They even created him his very own Henrico County Police decal.

“When we heard a little boy dreams of being a Police officer for Halloween, we felt it necessary to help take his costume to the next level,” the department wrote.

8News recently caught up with the officers who made it happen. You can watch our report above or the original video posted on the Henrico County Police page below.
