A month after her daughter’s disappearance, mother of Keeshae Jacobs not giving up hope

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond mother says she hasn’t lost hope in finding her daughter who has been missing for nearly a month.

Keeshae Jacobs, 21, was last seen at a home near Chimborazo Park on September 26th.

Toni Jacobs, Keeshae’s mother, said one of the hardest parts has been when she receives prank calls and messages from people claiming to be Keeshae.

“It’s been terrible,” Toni Jacobs told 8News. “People calling my phone, talking about ‘mom come get me,’ so it’s hard for me to do certain stuff because I’m scared.”

Even though it’s been four weeks since Jacobs last heard from her daughter, she believes she is still alive.

“She’s not gone, I don’t feel that she’s gone,” Jacobs said. “I just feel that somebody’s got her and she can’t call me.”

“She’s not gone, I don’t feel that she’s gone.”

Jacobs said she’s not giving up hope on finding her daughter. The most recent search party by police was held this past Thursday, but they seem to leave more question than answers.

“I just feel helpless because I don’t know what to do or what I can do,”  Jacobs said. “As a mother, you just want to save your children and I can’t do anything right now.”

Jacobs said aside from the pranks, the community has been helpful and police contact her almost every other day with an update.

“It has really touched my heart because I didn’t know there was so many people out there that cared,” Jacobs added.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (804) 801-4503.
