Man shot by blow dart from drive-by vehicle in Radford

RADFORD, Va. (WSLS 10) — The Radford City Police Department is investigating an assault after a man was shot with a blow dart near Radford University.

The incident occurred Saturday around 9:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Tyler Avenue. The victim told police he was walking in the area when he was shot with a blow dart from a passing vehicle. The victim received a minor injury and was treated and released by Radford EMS.

Police say the vehicle is described as a silver or light in color passenger car.

The vehicle was last seen headed south on Tyler Avenue.

This incident remains under investigation by the Radford City Police Department.
