RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police are seeking additional information about a shooting that took place last Saturday in the Carver neighborhood.
Police said around 2:10 a.m. on October 22, officers responded to the 1200 block of W. Marshall Street for a report of a person shot. They quickly located the adult male victim, who was lying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and his condition has since been upgraded to non-life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, weighing 120-130 pounds. He wore a sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the incident.
“We’re asking anyone who was in the area at the time of this shooting and may have seen or heard something, even if they don’t feel like it’s significant, to give us a call,” said Detective Sergeant Claude Picard with the Major Crimes Division. “Something that might seem unimportant could be the missing piece detectives need to make an arrest in this case.”
