Richmond Public Schools holds Make a Difference 5K

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Today is Make a Difference Day and Richmond Public Schools is using the opportunity to kick off their fruit and veggie week.

The “Make a difference 5K” took place at 11 a.m. at the Pediatric Connection on Semmes Avenue.

The event was held to benefit the non-profit Fit For Kids which helps improve children’s health and reduce childhood obesity in Richmond.

After the race, an event was held with food and beer trucks, music, a silent auction, raffles and games.
