PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — After failing to reach a majority vote on Tuesday, Petersburg City Council members vote on Thursday to hire the Robert Bobb Group to provide consulting services to the city.
On Tuesday, council members voted to a 3-3 tie. Sources told 8News residents were upset about the cost of the group’s services, which was estimated at $300,000.
During Thursday’s meeting, salary negotiations ranged from as low as $130,000 to the original $300,000 price tag.
The group is said to begin working with the city as soon as Tuesday.
