RPD identify man found shot to death near Chippenham Hospital

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police in Richmond are investigating after they found a man who appeared to be shot to death near Chippenham Hospital Wednesday night. Police have identified the man.

Tevon F. Dickerson, 24, of Richmond has been identified as the victim.

Police say they originally responded to reports of random gunfire in the 5100 block of Forest Hill Avenue. Arriving officers found nothing, but moments later were called to a reported body laying in the intersection of Jahnke and Hioaks roads near the entrance to Chippenham Hospital.


When they arrived, they found a deceased male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police believe the two scenes are related and are actively investigating.

No further details, including information regarding a possible suspect, has been released at this time.
