Former Richmond teacher pleads guilty to sexual battery of student; will only serve 2 months

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A former Huguenot High School teacher has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery of an underage male student in court Wednesday.

24-year-old Courtney B. Stewart, of the 3600 block of W. Broad Street was originally charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties while in a supervisory role, both felonies.

She has been sentenced to two years in jail with all but 2 months suspended.
