HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) – Temporary traffic signals have been installed at the intersection of Springfield Road (Route. 157) and Francistown Road.
Crews will test the traffic signal with flashing operations beginning Tuesday, October 18. Full-color operations will follow between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 20.
Drivers will begin to follow the new traffic signals at that time.
According to VDOT, the temporary traffic signal will improve safety at this intersection while long-term design options are explored. A public involvement process, which includes a public meeting, will begin early next year to determine the best design for this location.
Anyone with questions about the project can call VDOT’s customer service center at 800-FOR-ROAD (800-367-7623).
