Man suffers non-life threatening injuries in Gilpin Court shooting


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating after a shooting took place in Richmond’s Gilpin Court neighborhood shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday night.

The shooting took place on St. John Street.

One male victim was shot in the leg. The injuries are not considered life-threatening, but he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives are working leads in this investigation but ask anyone with information about this incident to Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip.
