Richmond Police investigate home invasion and robbery near VCU’s campus

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police are investigating a home invasion that took place near Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus.

The incident happened Friday night around 9:30 p.m. on West Broad Street near Goshen Street.

Police say two men knocked on the door, showing a gun as they forced their way into the home.

Several items were taken.

Police say the robbers got away in an older model blue sedan with a missing driver’s side rear hubcap.
