RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson has moved the location of his Monday campaign stop in Richmond.
The event will now take place at the Hippodrome Theater located at 528 North 2nd Street in Richmond and will take place from 7 – 9 p.m.
According to a web page about the event, the move was the result of large demand for the event which initially was set to take place at VCU’s Harris Hall.
Besides Johnson, a member of the Richmond Times-Dispatch editorial board, comedian Jeremy McLellan, former Democrat National Committee Press Secretary Terry Michael, former Baltimore Police Chief and current president of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition Neill Franklin, Republican Liberty Caucus’ Liz Mair and Ed Lopez, Liberty Party official and successful tax reformer Carla Howell and Travis Irvine will all be speaking at the event.
The event’s stated goal is to motivate residents to vote and to get people to sign Johnson’s #FairDebates petition.
Food and beverages will be served at the free event.
