High speed police chase ends in crash in Chesterfield County; 1 injured

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A driver was arrested early Saturday morning after he led police on a high-speed chase, before crashing in Chesterfield County.

Police chased a car from Jefferson Davis Highway onto Chippenham Parkway before the chase ended on Belmont Road when the driver crashed into another car.

One person from the second vehicle was taken to the hospital for injuries suffered  in that crash, but is expected to be okay.

The driver involved in the chase ran from the scene after the crash, but was later found and arrested.

No word yet about what prompted the chase.
