RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After months of renovations, Blue Bee Cider is opening its new location in Scott’s Addition.
The cidery, which was previously in Manchester, is celebrating all weekend.
On Saturday, they’re holding a grand opening festival from 1 to 10 p.m. It’ll feature half a dozen neighborhood beer collaborations.
Blue Bee will also be releasing three new bottles.
The cidery is located on Summit Avenue at the old city stables.
Owner and general manager Courtney Mailey says the original structure was built out of street cobbles.
“You don’t see things like this anymore,” she said. “It was built at a time when architects and tradesmen and artisans were not really able to find work and so they just put all of that energy into this building.”
The party continues Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. For additional information, check Blue Bee’s website.
