Thieves break into Dinwiddie County Food Lion, steal cash from ATM

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Dinwiddie Sherriff’s department reported that thieves broke into an area Food Lion early Friday morning and stole cash from an ATM.

The incident happened sometime between midnight and 2:30 a.m. at the Food Lion in the 13000 block of Boydton Plank Road in Dinwiddie County.

Once inside, the thieves targeted an ATM and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Dinwiddie County Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible for this break-in and theft. If anyone has any information about this crime they are encouraged to contact Dinwiddie County Sheriff’s Office at 804-469-4550 or Petersburg – Dinwiddie Crime Solvers at 804-861-1212. If your information leads to an arrest you may receive a cash reward of up to $1000.00. You can remain anonymous and are not required to testify in court.
