RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — Bon Secours Cancer Institute and Short Pump Town Center are joining forces on Thursday for their Pink for Purpose event to support women’s health, specifically breast cancer awareness.
Everyone who plans on attending is asked to dress in pink.
The event will be filled with product giveaways, prize raffles to include a $500 Short Pump gift card, discounts from participating retailers, and appetizers and wine tastings at eight Short Pump Town Center restaurants. Participating stores include Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade New York, Pandora and many others.
Health experts Dr. Misti Wilson, MD, FACS and Dr. William Irvin, Jr., MD will also be speaking at the event.
Bon Secours says the evening will culminate with a special tribute to breast cancer fighters and survivors.
Pink for a Purpose runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 in the Main Plaza of Short Pump Town Center.

This fund assists cancer patients with expenses for medications, transportation, and personal therapies like massages, yoga, meditation, art therapy and music therapy.
