RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — We are less than a week away from the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
Tammy Lee Pastelnick joined 8News’ Morgan Dean Monday morning to talk about the event.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a non-competitive 5K walk to raise awareness and funds for life-saving breast cancer research and free patient services for breast cancer patients.
The idea of the event is to celebrate breast cancer survivors and remember those we have lost to this disease. This is a family event with food, children’s activities, and information on cancer prevention, as well as a survivor tent.
Please join Christina Feerick and WRIC for our 15th Annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 16, at the Virginia War Memorial at noon.
Come join as nearly 10,000 people show up to walk to end breast cancer.
The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

This is a developing story. Stay with 8News online and on air for the latest updates.
