HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) – Khalid Abdullah ran for three touchdowns as James Madison remained undefeated in the Colonial Athletic Association by edging William & Mary 31-24 on Saturday.
Abdullah had a career-high 194 yards on 25 carries for the Dukes (5-1, 3-0). It was the fifth-straight 100-yard performance for Abdullah who recently made the FCS National Player of the Year Award watch list.
Abdullah’s 74-yard scoring run with 55 seconds left in the game iced the win for James Madison. He also scored on 4-yard runs in the first and third quarters, the second of which put the Dukes up for good, 17-10, with 9:58 to go in the period.
Bryan Schor threw for 182 yards and Cardon Johnson rushed for 90 yards and ran for a score midway through the fourth quarter.
Steve Cluley had 157 yards passing with a touchdown for the Tribe (2-4, 0-3). He also ran for a score.
