Crews find stolen vehicle in James River


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police found a vehicle in the James River late Saturday morning at 1308 Brander Street.

According to Lt. Armstrong with Richmond Fire, the call came in at 10:17 a.m. and crews were on scene at 10:20 a.m.


At 10:23 a.m., a boat was sent into the water en route to the vehicle that was not fully emerged in the water.

Officials told 8News they received reports that an individual was inside the vehicle, but it was later determined no one was inside in the vehicle.

The Richmond Police Department said the car was reported stolen.
