WASHINGTON, D.C. (WRIC) — The Washington Nationals are in the MLB Postseason for the third time in five seasons, and they begin their quest for the first World Series title in franchise history Friday.
The Nationals will face the LA Dodgers, who fell to the New York Mets in the National League Championship Series in 2015. The Dodgers will start Clayton Kershaw, who may be the best pitcher in the game during the regular season. He was plagued by a back injury this season, and he has not pitched up to his regular season level in the playoffs throughout his career.
The Nationals will throw Max Scherzer, who said he is excited to take the ball and start the run toward the NLCS and hopefully a world championship.
