Richmond, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring says it’s not against the law for voters in the Commonwealth to take pictures or selfies with their ballots to put on social media.

Herring says posting pictures is not a crime, as long as doing so doesn’t interfere with voting.

Still, voters cannot use their phones to get advice or assistance from someone outside the polling place.
