RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — If you want the benefits of quinoa, kale and other superfoods, but don’t like the taste, there are alternatives that researchers say have health benefits.
For example, nutritionists say cabbage is a great option if you need something close to cauliflower, which boosts immune systems.
Cranberries are great alternatives to goji berries, which some people find too bitter. A study from the Journal of Nutrition found cranberries have an antioxidant that boosts cells’ immune response to cold and flu.
Finally, those who don’t prefer eating chia seeds can try sesame seeds, which boost blood levels of antioxidants and fight LDL cholesterol.
