Virginia Union returns home to top St. Augustine’s, 50-21

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Union Panthers (3-2) won their third straight game on Saturday by defeating St. Augustine’s 50-21, returning to Hovey Field after three straight weeks on the road to begin the 2016 season.

VUU senior QB Shawheem Dowdy threw five touchdowns in the win, three of them landing in the hands of Lavatiae Kelly.

Union now moves to 2-0 in the CIAA, and hosts Lincoln University next Saturday October 8th.
