RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Week 4 for our panel of experts is here. Week 3 proved to be tough on everyone – only Kerri O’Brien, at 5-3, had a winning record. With a lot of tough matchups, we’ll see if our team can bounce back.

As always, feel free to play along at home.

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

The Chiefs haven’t defeated the Skyhawks since 1998. This is their best chance to pull off a major win for their program.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

I don’t like this matchup for the Bulldogs simply because Nick Chubb is unlikely to play in this game. Vols defense should make enough stops to pull off the win in their first true road game this season.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Wisconsin Badgers

Badgers a -10.5 point underdog??? I think they will actually pull this off and win their 3rd game against an AP Top-10 team this season.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Duke Blue Devils

Both teams coming great wins last week but I see the Blue Devils winning a close one

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Louisville Cardinals

Great QB matchup between Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson but I see the Cardinals being a hungrier team on the road this week

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

This will be the day Spiders win their 1st CAA Game of the season

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

This feels like this will be closer then I expect it to be. Despite a banged up secondary, with DeAngelo Hall done for the season and Breshaun Breeland week-to-week, I see the Skins get it done with their receivers this Sunday.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

New England 4-0 before Tom Brady’s return is not what I expected but I see them pulling this off no matter who’s the QB on Sunday

Kerri webKerri O’Brien, 8News Investigative Reporter (Last week – 5-3, Overall – 15-9)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Going with the home team advantage.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Georgia Bulldogs

Tennessee had a big win against the Gators. This week they get cocky. Plus, I am a sucker for UGA, love that dog!

 Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

This should be a great game, two undefeated teams playing good ball. But I think Michigan’s offense and special teams have a slight edge. Plus, I have been to Ann Arbor, that’s a big crowd to try to tune out.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Duke Blue Devils

Duke has the momentum now coming off a big win against the Fighting Irish. Plus, Duke is home.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Clemson Tigers

The Tigers are now clicking offensively. That combined with a nasty defense makes them difficult to beat. It will be a close match up but I go Clemson.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

You know I have been loving some Spiders football this season. They have the #1 pass offense in the CAA. They rebounded last weekend. I don’t see them losing this game,  plus Towson hasn’t shown me anything to be excited about.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

They finally have a win under their belt. They build on the momentum, plus it’s the Browns.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

Even with a third string QB they still have it. I hate it but Buffalo isn’t good enough to out cheat Belicheat.

I wouldn’t mind being wrong about this pick.

amanda-malkowskiAmanda Malkowski, 8News Good Morning Richmond Anchor (Last week – 3-5, Overall – 15-9)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

This will be a great game. Bird has done well away, and Monacan has done well at home. I’m going to just draw straws and go with LC Bird.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

Going with TN on this one. They came through for me last week (one of few!), and I think they’ll do well against the Bulldogs. Being undefeated feels pretty good, doesn’t it?

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Wisconsin Badgers

This will be a blood bath, but after crushing Michigan State (and hurting my record), I’m going to give it to Wisconsin.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Duke Blue Devils

Virginia shocked us all last week, so I don’t know who to choose here! I think this may have been an anomaly though, so I’m going with Duke.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Louisville Cardinals

Louisville looks phenomenal. They have some of the best freshman in the ACC. Clemson… good as well. This will be a great game.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

Come on Spiders… you started out so well! Only one loss so far. It was close with Colgate, but I think they will rally again this week.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

Go Redskins!

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

Patriots certainly can’t be stopped by the Bills. Or can they?

king-robbRobb Crocker, 8News Digital Content Manager (Last week – 4-4, Overall – 13-11)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Nobody beats L.C. Bird on their home turf.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee’s offense wins by 10 in a shootout.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

This will be closer than most think but Michigan will win by three.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Duke Blue Devils

The Cavs need to show me more before put my faith in them again.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Clemson Tigers

Louisville is playing better than most expected; Clemson is underachieving. Tiger at home for a night game is hard to go against. They win by two in the last minute.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

Spiders win by 13 at home.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins Cleveland Browns Washington Redskins

I hate this game. It smells like a letdown. It is too easy to look past this dumpster fire of a team in Cleveland and let them steal a win. I’m trusting that Jay Gruden will not let this happen.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

The Patriots will win the Super Bowl. The Bills are just another team in the way. Also, I hear that David Ortiz is the starting QB this week.

will-12Will Armbruster, 8News Digital Producer (Last week – 3-5, Overall – 13-11)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Some say this is the year Monacan, led by standout QB Syour Fludd, can FINALLY beat L.C. Bird, but I like the Skyhawks to make it 19 in a row against the Chiefs.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

The Vols impressed during their come-from-behind 38-28 win over Florida last week. Look for them to carry that momentum into this weekend’s matchup against a struggling Georgia team.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

I no longer consider Wisconsin a fluke (although that head-scratching, close win over Georgia State (0-3) is concerning) but Michigan is simply a better football team – and better coached – than LSU and Michigan State.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Duke Blue Devils

Virginia finally got Bronco Mendenhall his first win last week, but Duke is coming off a huge win against Notre Dame. The Blue Devils are favored by four points at home, which is good enough for me.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Clemson Tigers

I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Lamar Jackson offers up another spectacular performance to lead Louisville past another ACC giant. But Clemson has been here before and is more big-game ready, in ,my opinion. Playing in front of their home crowd won’t hurt, either.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

The Spiders are -14.5 favorites at home.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

I will always pick the Redskins to lose, unless they’re playing the Browns.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

I’m beginning to think the Patriots could win with me at quarterback.

tracey-smith-web-2Tracey Smith, 8News Reporter (Last week – 2-6, Overall – 12-12)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

I always say high school picks are hard for me. So this week my guess is for the Skyhawks.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

I’m not betting against Tennessee again. Plus Georgia hasn’t impressed me this season.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

Michigan was just a simple pick.  The team is good this year.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Virginia Cavaliers

Again, I learned my lesson for betting against UVA. I hope the hoos don’t let me down.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Louisville Cardinals

Last time Louisville was on the list I didn’t pick them and I paid for it. Let see if they give me a win this time.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

Towson doesn’t have the record to make me bet against the Spiders. So Richmond it is.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

While the Redskins just barely beat the Giants, maybe Captain Kirk can pull off another win.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

I thought about going out on a limb and choosing the Bills. But New England is just too solid. So Patriots is it.

MitchMitch Carr, 8Sports Director (Last week – 3-5, Overall – 12-12)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

I’m not picking against the Skyhawks until they start getting beat consistently.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

The offense seems to has figured it out. Georgia? Not so much.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

Can’t believe what the Badgers did to Sparty last week; don’t believe they can do it to the fighting Jim Harbaughs

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Virginia Cavaliers

Duke is without its starting QB and starting RB. They beat Notre Dame, but I think Virginia is building something.

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Louisville Cardinals

Lamar Jackson either wins this game or gets hurt. I don’t think he’ll just have a bad game. Also, having been at Clemson multiple times for a big game, they screw this up on the regular.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

Spiders are favored and should get first CAA win.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

Because the Browns.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

When’s the last time Buffalo beat New England in New England? I honestly don’t know.

chipChip Brierre, 8Sports Anchor (Last week – 4-4, Overall – 9-15)

Monacan Chiefs @ L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Pick: L.C. Bird Skyhawks

Skyhawks have been a class above Chiefs literally and figuratively. It’ll be close, and Bedwell’s team wants to atone for Manchester loss.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

After that comeback against Gators, I’m all for Volunteering.

Wisconsin Badgers @ Michigan Wolverines

Pick: Michigan Wolverines

Wisconsin is for real, but Jim Harbaugh will have the game at the Big House and his guys focused.

Virginia Cavaliers @ Duke Blue Devils

Pick: Virginia Cavaliers

I know Duke beat Notre Dame in South Bend. I also know UVA finally has an inspiring win to rally on from. If Benkert is on, Cavs stand a chance for their first road win in 17 tries. Plus I know picking Duke will prove to bite me in the *ahem.*

Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers

Pick: Clemson Tigers

Lamar Jackson is everything and more, but it’s Watson’s conference and he’s going to remind the Cardinals that in Death Valley.

Towson Tigers @ Richmond Spiders

Pick: Richmond Spiders

Xavier Goodall’s emergence at RB doesn’t come as a surprise, and it makes the Spiders a national contender once again.

Cleveland Browns @ Washington Redskins

Pick: Washington Redskins

Man, the Browns could really use Johnny Manziel right now.

Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

Pick: New England Patriots

Doesn’t matter who is at QB, Bill Belichick is GOD in Boston. At least that’s what they’re saying, I just think he’s a much better Coach than Rex Ryan.
