Blighted Bon Secours homes coming down next week

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — An update on those abandoned, blighted homes owned by Bon Secours; 8News has confirmed the homes are coming down starting next week.

After neighbors complained for months to 8News that the homes on the Henrico-Richmond border were an eyesore and attracting squatters, Bon Secours announced it would remove the homes.

The hospital system now tells us four will be demolished Monday, weather permitting. Neighbors should have been notified by mail.

Bon Secours is still working on a permit for the homes in Richmond.
