Henrico Schools seeking bus drivers; will pay candidates while they learn

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) said they are seeking full-time and substitute bus drivers.

Members of the HCPS Human Resources and Pupil Transportation departments will be at the Libbie Mill branch of Henrico County Public Library on October 6 to talk with interested candidates.

“See why driving a bus is one of the best jobs for individuals with flexible schedules, who want to earn extra money and who enjoy working with students,” said Mary Alderson, human resources specialist.

Henrico Schools said they welcome all candidates with good driving records and clean criminal background checks.

Candidates will also receive pay during a training program, which provides a Virginia commercial driver’s license and all credentials needed to transport Henrico County students on a school bus.

Applicants can also apply online here.
