RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Champion brewing, which produces canned beer, is brewing up a new Folk FestivALE for the 2016 Richmond Folk Festival.

Champion tells Folk Festival organizers it’s a highly accessible Oktoberfest–style Märzen ale that will be every bit as tasty as its predecessors. But this year, it’s available for purchase before the festival begins on October 7.

Based in Charlottesville, Champion Brewing plans to open a tasting room downtown on Grace Street as a joint effort with the folks behind Comfort and Pasture.

Folk FestivAle is already available at the following restaurants and retail stores:

Restaurants:

  • Saison
  • Acacia
  • Pasture
  • Comfort

Retail stores:

  • Wegmans Midlothian and Short Pump
  • The Wink
  • Once Upon a Vine North and South
  • Rittenhouse Carytown, Short Pump and Ironbridge Rd.
  • Corks and Kegs
  • Whole Foods
