Richmond mayoral candidate Bruce Tyler drops out of race

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond mayoral candidate Bruce Tyler confirmed with 8News that he has suspended his campaign, citing that “it’s time for people to focus on the remaining seven candidates.”

“This is a critical election for Richmond and that’s why I ran,” Tyler explained. “I began to realize that there wasn’t a clear path to becoming mayor.”

Tyler was a member of Richmond’s city council from 2007-2012.
