Richmond man dead after Henrico County crash; driver arrested for DUI

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico County Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead and one woman behind bars early Sunday morning.

Authorities said at 2:46 a.m., Henrico Police and Fire personnel responded to Osborne Turnpike near the intersection of River Bend Estates Drive for a single vehicle accident.

A Chevrolet van was traveling west on Osborne Turnpike when it ran off of the right side of the roadway and into a ditch.

One passenger identified as Kurt Douglas Moon, 34, of Richmond, was ejected from the van. Douglas was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver, Kasie Lynn Hull, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence at the scene.

Members of the Henrico Police Crash Team continue to investigate this crash and are consulting with the Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney on additional charges.
