Young girls teaming up to help make dream come true

DORCHESTER, S.C. (WCBD) – 12-year-old Julia Smith and 10-year-old Krystal Judy are coming together to help make their cousins dream come true. Their cousin, 14-year-old Callie Shaffer, suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Craniostntosis and Pfeiffers syndrome.

Callie has undergone 44 surgeries and is constantly in and out of the hospital. Her condition also keeps her from doing things Julia and Callie love like swimming, cheering, and playing volleyball. The girls say that is why they wanted to give her a special surprise.

The two young girls have started raising money to send Callie to a Justin Beiber concert. Julia says Callie told her that was her ultimate dream and now the girls are making it happen.

The girls have not told Callie about their plan in fear that they will not be able to raise enough money. They currently have $26 saved up but they are hoping to raise $5,000.

You can help Julia and Krystal make Callie’s dream come true by donating to their Go Fund Me page.
