HAZMAT crews clean up after diesel spill on I-95 N near Boulevard exit

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia State Police say they are cleaning up after a crash cushion truck spilled over 75 gallons of diesel fuel in the left and shoulder lanes of I-95 north near the onramp from Boulevard in Richmond.

HAZMAT crews are on scene and assisting with cleanup.

There is a three-mile backup as a result of efforts to clean up the spill.

The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. this morning.


This is the same area where a wreck earlier this morning caused delays.
