CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — In just a little over a month, you’re invited to slip on your boots, grab your cowboy hat, and head on over to the ‘Cattle Baron’s Ball’ all to benefit the American Cancer Society.
8News had the pleasure of speaking with country singer Ray Scott who is performing at the western gala.
Scott is a rare find in Country music nowadays. His songs dazzle audiences through his honest, authentic lyrics, often punctuated with his signature wit.
Scott says the kind of music he’s making now is not age-specific, but just about telling stories and making people smile.
“It’s not exactly what you’re used to hearing a lot of these days,” Scott told 8News anchor Morgan Dean.
Scott also told 8News he’s looking forward to playing at the Cattle Baron’s Ball to help win the fight against cancer.
“It’ll be a fun show with a lot of funny stuff and good interaction.” — Ray Scott
