San Francisco camp counselor arrested for allegedly molestating campers

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco camp counselor has been arrested for allegedly molesting three juvenile campers and sending sexually explicit material to them, according to police.

Evin “Devin” Blanchard, a 24-year-old San Francisco resident, was arrested on Sept. 15 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The investigation began when the director of the summer camp program reported that an adult camp counselor was having inappropriate contact with three juvenile campers.

Investigators say Blanchard sent sexually explicit images and videos to the victims through online social media.

He is also accused of inappropriately touching the victims during several field trips.

Blanchard remains in custody in Phoenix pending his extradition to San Francisco.

Once Blanchard is extradited to San Francisco he will be booked on the following charges: 5 counts of child molestation, 4 counts of sending harmful material to a minor, production of child pornography, and 3 counts of annoy or molest a child.
