RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC)” — The Patrick Henry Patriots trailed the Mills Godwin Eagles 21-0 at halftime Friday night. Both teams run the ball, and Godwin had essentially taken three long drives, not leaving much time for PH to do much of anything.
Enter Hunter Hart.
The junior running back and quarterback — the Patriots’ triple option more or less makes the designation irrelevant — scored four second half touchdowns, the final one with just 26 seconds to play, as PH came from behind to beat Godwin 31-28.
Hart also played linebacker on defense and helped keep last week’s Player of the Week — Eagles’ running back Wesley Dugger — in check. This Friday, the Patriots host #7 Henrico, their toughest game yet. Hart hopes for another shocker and for the Patriots’ first ranking in years.
