Event hopes to raise funds to pay medical bills for mother injured in hit-and-run

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Today in Glen Allen, family and friends are raising money for the Hanover mother who was hurt in a hit-and-run crash back in June.

Denise Gorondy was hit while running along Dunns Chapel Road.

After spending 45 days in the hospital, she’s finally home with her family, but the avid runner is still unable to walk or even stand.

A benefit is being held at the Wine Loft in Glen Allen today to help with her recovery fund.

20 percent of all proceeds will be donated to her recovery fund.
