Route 288 resurfacing project closes multiple ramps in Chesterfield County

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The ramps at the I-95/Route 288 interchange will be closed this weekend due to the resurfacing project.

The two ramps will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. The two affected ramps are the ramp from I-95 north to Rt. 288 north and the ramp from Rt. 288 south to I-95 south.

The work is part of a $13 million resurfacing project that extends between I-95 and just north of Iron Bridge Road (Route 10).

Drivers should expect closures in this area through late September.

Drivers are encouraged to use the following detour routes provided by VDOT:

To access Rt. 288 north from I-95 north – Take I-95 north to Exit 67B/Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north to Jefferson Davis Hwy./Rt. 1/Rt. 301 south to Chippenham Pkwy./Rt. 150 south to I-95 south to Exit 62/Rt. 288 north.

To access I-95 south from Rt. 288 south – Take I-95 north to Exit 67B/Chippenham Parkway (Route 150) north to Jefferson Davis Hwy./Rt. 1/Rt. 301 south to Chippenham Pkwy./Rt. 150 south to I-95 south.
