RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The new iPhone 7 hits store shelves nationwide Friday morning, but they won’t stay there for long.
Anxious iPhone lovers are lining up across the country for the latest edition.
8News reporter Roxie Bustamante was outside the AT&T store just off of Broad Street at the Short Pump Town Center.
Apple tells 8News they hope to see the same long lines all across the country that helped define the early iPhones.
It’s only been nine days since the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus entered the spotlight. Apple is warning customers that there will be a short supply due to many pre-orders.
Customers walking into Apple stores Friday morning may not be able to get the phones in jet black. All hope is not lost, though.
Retailers such as Best Buy or companies such as AT&T may still have the phone in stock.
The Short Pump Town Center location doors will open at 8 a.m.
