Abducted Louisa County woman found safe, suspected kidnapper in custody

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Louisa County woman was found safe after she was abducted Thursday morning.

The man who police say abducted her at gunpoint, Russell Jeffries, is now in custody.

According to Major Donnie Lowe with the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, Crane was abducted at gunpoint by Jeffries at roughly 8:37 a.m. on Thursday on Johnny Hall Road in Mineral.

Authorities describe Crane as 5-foot-7 with blonde hair and Jeffries as 6-foot-tall. They are believed to be traveling in a gray four-door Honda or Mazda.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Louisa Sheriff’s office.
