Program connects NASCAR fans with paralyzed veterans


HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A new exhibit at Richmond International Raceway is connecting NASCAR fans with paralyzed veterans.

The group “Paralyzed Veterans of America” has a “Wheels Helping Warriors” vehicle donation program that helps with rehab and accessibility for veterans.

“They don’t realize some of the hardships and problems that (veterans) have so when someone’s donating a vehicle or anything for veterans like that, it means the world to them,” said Robert Satterwhite with Paralyzed Veterans of America.
