Man wanted for robbing downtown Richmond bank

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police detectives are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect in a robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon at a downtown bank.

Around 12:45 p.m., police say a white male suspect entered the Wells Fargo bank located at 801 E. Main Street and demanded money from the tellers. He claimed to be armed, although no firearm was displayed. The suspect stole cash and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a 35-year-old, 5-foot-5 white male with short brown hair and a receding hairline. He was wearing a light blue shirt, khaki pants and dark-colored shoes at the time of the incident.
