RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Welcome to another installment of 8 Questions with Juan Conde, where we will find out what makes people in our great community tick. Juan asks his guests to answer just eight questions about their business, their life, and their time here in Richmond.
This week’s guest is Paige Mudd, 38, the executive editor and vice president for news at the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
She started at The Times-Dispatch as an intern in 1999 while a student at Syracuse University. After graduating, she worked for a year at the Syracuse Post-Standard before returning to the RTD as a full-time news reporter in 2000. She covered Chesterfield County and Richmond police and courts before she became an editor in 2008. She became managing editor in September 2014 and served as the newspaper’s senior editor for four years before that, running the newsroom’s daily operations. In 2015, she became the first woman editor in The Times-Dispatch’s 166-year history.
Paige is a native of Wilmington, Del. She lives in Hanover County with her husband, Brian, and their three children – Beau, 8; Whitney, 6; and Campbell, 2.
