Swimming advisories issued for two Newport News beaches

NEWPORT NEWS (WAVY) — Health officials have issued swimming advisories for Anderson and King Lincoln Park Beaches in Newport News.

Officials say samples collected on August 23 showed bacteria levels exceeding state standards.

Signs are posted at the beach warning residents and visitors of the advisory. Officials said the public will be notified once the bacteria levels are below standards.
