Richmond Police arrest Chesterfield County man in connection with Midlothian Inn murder

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police arrested a Chesterfield County man yesterday in connection with a homicide that took place in June at the Midlothian Inn.

Brian Marshall, 23, of the 5500 block of Hansdale Road in Chestefield County, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony yesterday.

Richmond Police made a statement about their dedication to closing cases.

“Regardless of whether a case is days, months or years old, Richmond Police detectives tirelessly pursue every lead and work diligently to uncover new information until those responsible are brought to justice,” Captain James Laino with the Major Crimes Division said. “Someone who has committed a crime may think their trail has gone cold, but eventually, the right tip or piece of evidence will lead to their arrest.”

The murder took place on June 3rd, and shortly thereafter police arrived for a report of gunfire.

When officers arrived they quickly found a room where Page E. Johnson, 25 of the 6500 block of Midlothian Turnpike had been shot. She was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
