Colonial Heights police seek suspect who robbed gas station employee at gunpoint

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities in Colonial Heights are looking for a suspect they believe robbed a local gas station employee at gunpoint on Monday, August 22.

Police say they responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Sunoco gas station at 961 Temple Avenue just before midnight. An employee there said the suspect entered the store and displayed what the victim believed to be a weapon and demanded money. The suspect obtained cash from the register before fleeing westbound on Temple Avenue.

The suspect is described as a 5’10- 6’0 dark-skinned black male with a black moustache and goatee who was wearing a white shirt, white ball cap with a do-rag, black pants with an unknown design on the back pockets and multi-colored shoes. The suspect also has a tattoo on his left forearm.
