14-year-old girl recovering after being shot in Creighton Court

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A 14-year-old girl was hospitalized Wednesday night following a shooting in Richmond’s Creighton Court neighborhood.

Police sources are now saying that the teenager was shot after an argument Wednesday night.

Police also said officers were patrolling the 2000 block of Creighton Court after 9 p.m. when they heard multiple gunshots. They rushed to the scene and found the young girl suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries to her pelvic area.

Police are working on getting a description of a car that fled the scene shortly after the shooting.
